Feeding South Dakota Holding Thanksgiving Meal Giveaways

Sioux Falls, S.D.–Feeding South Dakota, the state’s largest hunger relief organization, is continuing its annual tradition of providing Thanksgiving Meals for neighbors facing hunger.

This year, the organization will host giveaways throughout the month of November.

Feeding South Dakota’s giveaways will take place on Saturday, November 21, (7-9 a.m.) at Central States Fairgrounds in Rapid City, and (8-10 A.M.) at the W.H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls.

The organization is prepared to distribute food to 1,500 families at each location on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.

“During the holidays, we often see more neighbors turn to us for help. That’s why these meals are more than food. They’re an opportunity to spend time together celebrating traditions and making memories,” shared Lori Dykstra, CEO of Feeding South Dakota. “By providing this extra distribution in November, we’re helping families access the food they need when budgets are stretched and every meal matters.”

“We know how meaningful these meals are, and we’re grateful for every volunteer, partner, and donor that helps make this possible,” said Dykstra.
