DOJ Seeks to Keep Ilhan Omar Search Warrant Sealed
October 29, 2026
WASHINGTON, D.C.–The U.S. Justice Department is asking a federal judge to keep the search warrant for Congresswoman Ilhan Omar’s Washington, D.C., home under seal while an investigation continues.
Several news organizations have asked the court to make the warrant and related records public.
Prosecutors argue releasing the documents now could jeopardize the investigation, which has been reported to involve Omar’s immigration paperwork.
Omar has denied wrongdoing and has not been charged with a crime.
